If you know the basic C# concepts, conditional statements, arrays and basics of object-oriented programming, this course will give you a chance to apply that knowledge to a real world database project.
In this course, you will learn how to utilize C# with Microsoft Access. The course is created with the aims to:
– Show you how things work
– Help you to understand how things work under the hood
– Help you to understand the basics
The course is created by Pavol Almasi, who is a professional computer programmer. With his understanding of programming languages and technologies, he will share with you useful lessons and techniques so that you can be confident to create sophisticated apps and coding styles
Why should I take this course?
The course will concentrate much on utilizing Access database with C#. The course is divided into many sections. In the first sections, you will learn some basic concepts such as connecting to database, browsing through the records, binding database fields with form objects in the windows forms. Moreover, you will be introduced with some core concepts of databases and windows forms.
You will learn from real projects as follow:
First project is Data Entry application. In this project, you will learn how to work with timer, mouse events, key press events… It is designed with simple data entry from and few properties.
Second project is the mix of theory and practice. You will learn some basic theory such as database concepts, SQL command and C# database object…
Third project is a simple project where you can apply the theory into practice. In this part you will learn how to connect the database and select records from the table.
Fourth project is an SQL tester. You will be introduced with some useful techniques to create form elements at run time
Fifth project is creating a book database app, where you learn to add new records, edit and delete them. You will learn to disable control basing on the user’s actions and pass data.
In the whole course, you will learn from practice to reinforce your knowledge and remember what you have learned.
Who should join the course?
The course is created for the C# beginner who would like to create database driven Windows Forms apps. Besides, it is suggested for the self-taught programmers and students who learn better by hands-on examples.
What learners say about the course?
Here are some comments and valuation of the learners about this course:
“It was a long but very professional view in many aspects of Access database coding and by the way some valuable hints in Forms programming. Clearly spoken and even for German guys easy to follow. “- said Henning Opel
“Good course. I know some C# but wanted to start doing data driven apps and this course is a great starting point.”- said Paul
